Admission Policy and Arrangements for Visits
- We are able to admit children in the September after their fourth birthday.
- We are able to admit up to 17 children into any one-year group. This is known as the standard number.
- Priority is given to children living in what is known as the school?s priority area, which consists of the parishes of Beausale, Haseley, Honiley, Hatton, Shrewley, Wroxall and part of Hatton Park.
- Should there be more than 17 children wishing to join our Reception group then children will be selected following these criteria:
- Children living in the priority area with a sibling at the school
- Other children living in the priority area
- Children outside the priority area who have a sibling at the school at the time of admission
- Children from outside the priority area
- In each category, decisions are based on the distance between home and school by the shortest available walking route, with priority going to those nearest the school.
- If parents are refused a place they have a right of appeal to an independent panel. Parents wishing to appeal should contact the Admissions Office (address below)
- Children will be admitted to other age groups at any time during the year if there are places, but if there are more applications at any one time than places in a particular year group the above criteria will apply.
Any parents interested in a place should telephone the school to arrange a visit. You will be most welcome.
NB. In common with most Warwickshire schools, all our admissions will be handled centrally by:
